Junior High Science Teacher

Hi! I am a Windthorst native farm girl! I grew up on a dairy farm and learned the work ethic there. I am a 1983 graduate of Windthorst High School and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education at MSU in 1988. My husband, Robert and I have been married 33 years. We have three children- Faryn Westmoreland, Carmen Stallcup and Dylan Stallcup. We have seven grandkids and one on the way. This is my 30th year in education. I have taught 29 years in the classroom and 1 year at North Texas Rehab in the Early Childhood Program. My experience is 4 years teaching first grade in Wichita Falls, 1 year as an ESL teacher/ substitute teacher and 24 more years teaching Jr. High Science at Windthorst. I am now enjoying 2nd generation students!!! I love my job of teaching 11- 14 year olds and when people ask … how do you do that? I say… well, the middle school kids are like mini- adults, yet they are still children at heart. Science is my passion. I love nature and teaching kids about how the world works. My philosophy is to have fun while learning all about our world. I like to incorporate hands-on learning and creativity along with critical thinking! When not at school or at a ballgame, I love to spend time with family, especially the grands. I enjoy being in the outdoors doing yard work, exercising or helping my husband with his trucking/cattle business. #roadtrip#onceafarmgirlalwaysafarmgirl.

I will always have a love for kids, a love for science, and a love for my school, Windthorst ISD!!!

Victoria Cavazos

JH/HS Spec Ed Coordinator

I am starting my 6th year in education and 2nd year in teaching. I am coming from Electra Elementary where I was a 4th grade teacher. My husband and I have 2 kids. Hayden is 11 and will be in 5th grade. Hanley is 7 and will be in 2nd grade. They both are very active in sports. We enjoy our lives as a coaching family and are excited to be a part of the Windthorst community.
